Awards.

After working very hard for the three years, the biodiesel project finally has won a Gold award on INATEX 2011 on last November. This is a second time for the project participates on INATEX competition. The last previous one, we already participated on INATEX 2009 and won nothing. After 2 years, we wake up with a lot of preparations in mental and physical to won this time, and then finally we won this gold medal. Thanks to Prof NASA and others group members who give a support to this project.

New Members.

This year also we welcome by a lot of potential students and lecturer to our group. The new group members have their own speciality on their areas. Hopefully with their presence, CREG will be known widely in among the worlds.

21 August 2009-CREG was organized the matlab for the first time. The class was open to all student who a interested. But for today, Just a creg member join this class since we not announced for anybody yet. the class was starting at 9 a.m. and finish at 11 a.m. Prof Dr Jahanmiri from School of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, Shiraz University, Shiraz Iran who are expert in modeling and simulation have teach us. We were very enjoying the class since matlab was very interesting.

Please download the MatLab Tutorial Slides here.

Reactive Distillation Class

CREG organized a Reactive Distillation class for its members on 17 August 2009. Prof. Dr. Jahanmiri, a visiting professor from University of Shiraz,  Iran gave an interesting presentation about reactive distillation and application of an Adaptive Network based Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) to optimize the esterification of oleic acid. From the class, we are more enthusiasm to study about optimization and matlab programming also. Therefore, we were invited Prof Jahanmiri to teach another class about optimization and matlab for all creg member and for who are interested.
